Mounting energy costs and the growing awareness surrounding the enironment compels us all to look for alternative sources of
energy. Solar energy is an abundant alternative energy source, and Nuralite’s lightweight NuraSolar modules are among the most
efficient methods for harnessing this energy into usable electricity.
NuraSolar is a thin film module comprising of amorphous silicone (a-Si) in the shape of a flexible strip that is glued directly onto the
roofing membrane. The triple-junction technology that enables the modules to capture the red, green and blue light spectra makes
the collection of both direct sunlight and diffuse light possible. This makes them perfect for flat or curved roofing installations.
The low weight of the NuraSolar modules allows for simple integration without requiring considerable modifications to either the roof
construction or to the building itself. No roof perforations or heavy ballast sytems are required for the installation of NuraSolar
modules. They integrate discreetly with the building and the environment. As the NuraSolar modules are installed flat onto the roof
sheeting, they will not catch the wind. This is an important advantage for high buildings, or for roofs situated in coastal areas.
