The Nuratherm system puts the insulation where it should be, above the substrate, to completely enclose the roof area with a highly efficient insulation blanket. With 30 – 35% of heat lost through the roof of an uninsulated house, Nuratherm insulated roof systems optimizes energy efficiency in flat roof properties.

Using Enertherm PIR across the entire flat roof surface, the R value of the system is higher than the R value of the PIR. In comparison, energy is wasted using lofted insulation between the rafters as R-value of the system is actually lower than the insulation R value due to thermal bridging.

The system can be installed on plywood, concrete or metal substrates, on new or existing buildings and on flat roofs regardless of their slope. By choosing to use the Dimond NPM900 metal tray as a substrate the entire roof system may be installed for less than a traditional flat roof system.

The entire Nuratherm system has been tested by Marshall Day. They concluded that the system is quieter than traditional roof systems.

Boards may be laid on top of each other to provide additional thickness. The R value is added to compute the combined value.
R value is a measure of the thermal resistance, of the Enertherm insulation board.
The stated R-Values are true long term values based on 25 years.

Application Method
Step 1)
Secure Insulation, Self-adhesive Basesheeet, Weld Capsheet.

Step 2)

In H1 zones 2 and 3 a vapour layer is laid upon the substrate. Depending on the project timetable, this layer can be left exposed to act as temporary waterproofing.
Step 3)
The Enertherm insulation is set out over the vapour barrier. The sheets are staggered in a brick bond fashion to prevent movement which could result in gaps in the insulation. The insulation is secured using screws with a purpose built flange.
Step 4)
A basesheet layer of Nuraply 3PV-SA is fixed over the insulation. This special sheet is designed specifically for adhering to the insulation and provides a complete watertight layer once installed.

Step 5)

A cap sheet of Nuraply 3PM is welded onto the basesheet layer. The joints are welded to ensure a watertight solution.
