The Situation
Large events center constructed on the waterfront in Auckland. An iconic building which was to lead the way in the areas regeneration
The Challenge
The roof was visually very important. It was the critical design element and could be seen by many overlooking buildings (including the architect’s own practice!).
The Solution
Nuraply 3PM in White was selected. Being two layers it was a bulletproof waterproofing choice and the natural appearance fit’s the nautical surrounds without any glare.
The first layer was laid when the roofs were constructed at ground level and the capsheet installed once the roofs were craned into position. The cap sheet rolls were especially made to measure so they perfectly fitted the curved roofs in a single roll.
